"El
Toyo" Village
It is
a very small village located 3 Km. far from San José
de Maipo. It has ways in to the various streams you can find
there. At this place we can stand out its big swimming pools,
several camping and picnic zones, places for special events
and a fishing pond.
We recommend
visiting "Pata del Diablo" (Devil's foot), a huge
and deep footprint in a rock at a slope of a hill with more
footprints, there is a legend from the rich mythology of the
region about the origin of this mark that gives the name to
this particular spot.
From the
concrete bridge that detaches from the highway to cross the
river, some times it is possible to see the brave adventurers
going on a kayak or rafting trip by Maipo River.
You can
also appreciate an old hanging bridge that crosses the river
at the spot called Pata del Diablo.
