"El Ingenio" Village

El Ingenio is a village located 66 Km. far from Santiago and 18 Km. far from San José de Maipo. It is across the Maipo River at less than 1 Km. from the road, the bridge over the river that leads there is a particularly fine and beautiful engineering work.

It was raised to be a residential zone for all people who wanted to have a very distant and isolated place to spend their summer holidays and week ends far from the noise and modernity of urban sprawl.

At the stream El Ingenio you find good fishing possibilities for Arco iris trout. You can watch and photograph an abundant variety of fauna and flora.

Here we also find some saddler craftsmen which make all kind of tackles for horses.
