There are several ways to practice this sport, from a simple artificial wall with feet and hands supports fastened by a safety harness and ropes, which avoid any fall when you get started in climbing, up to "cliff hanging", which is only for very experienced professional climbers.

At Cajón del Maipo we have the ideal geographic and environmental conditions to practice the variations of this sport, for beginners as well as for professional sportspersons levels, we have many natural spots where you can experience this adventure and also a place specially conditioned for everyone who wants to enjoy this activity, there you find all the safety and risk prevention measures; it has been designed by experts which have long years of experience at climbing. This place has: A 12 mts. high Climbing Wall with more than 12 climbing layouts of different degrees of difficulty in it, this wall is suitable for beginners who want to learn and gather experience with no possibilities to fall down as well as for pros who want to practice before going to challenging natural spots, where they won't count on the safety of the harness and ropes which let them to practice with no risk to fall down; A Tibetan Bridge: It is made of two iron cables where you have to go across 25 mts. at a height of 12 mts.; A Rappel Descend Tower: It is a tower of 10 mts. high from which you go down at Rappel style, that is by means of a rope and fastened by a harness, all this activities can also be performed at natural spots under the supervision of expert professionals.

All the ones who like this sport may come to our province to practice it; but we strongly recommend not going on your own at natural spots to experience this chilling adventure; it may result extremely dangerous to do it without a guide who knows the wall or cliff you want to climb.
